Ms. Verdugo's Principal's Message
Happy New Year... Parents, Guardians and Caregivers,
I hope everyone had a restful and relaxing Winter break! Our students got right back into the groove of things and we had a GREAT short week back.
Just a reminder to let us know if your child is not feeling well and please keep them home if they are sick. We are trying to keep our campus as safe & healthy as possible, we appreciate all of your help as we continue to weather the COVID19 pandemic. I am hopeful that we will be on the other side of this “wave” in the near future.
Have a great week, and THANK YOU ALL for being a part of our Tiger Family!
Stay healthy and safe,
Sandy Verdugo, Principal / sverdugo@cnusd.k12.ca.us

Dear Parkridge Parents:
We are in the process of forming the School Site Council (SSC). The SSC is an important part of our school, and its members are an equal number of school staff and parents. The primary responsibility of SSC is to assess the needs and resources of the School Improvement Program. The members of SSC are elected by parents of the school. The committee meets three times during the school year for approximately one hour. Attendance is a requirement to be a member of the SSC. This year, we are in need of three parent representatives.
If you are interested in having your name submitted for election to the SSC, please write a brief paragraph introducing yourself and stating your reasons for wanting to be on the SSC. These will be included on the ballots sent to parents. E-mail your response to Sandy Verdugo, Principal at sverdugo@cnusd.k12.ca.us, by this Friday, January 21, 2022. Please include your name, your student’s name and contact information with your submission.
We are looking forward to working together with SSC and all our parents to make Parkridge the best it can be!
Yes, I would like to be considered for a position on the School Site Council.

All students have been issued District devices and this technology is intended to support student learning. In order to use the technology at an optimal level, it is fundamental that students are caring for their Chromebooks and meeting expectations of proper usage and maintenance. This includes fully charging the device prior to coming to school. Each device (which includes the charger) is assigned to a student , just like a school textbook. If the device and charger are lost or damaged it will be treated like a damaged or lost textbook or library book, which means fines will be charged. Please ensure that your student is responsible with their Chromebooks and chargers, as they are intended to support their learning.
If you have any questions or concerns,
please contact Ms. Adame, Assistant Principal , sadame@cnusd.k12.ca.us
Here is a commonly asked question:
Do families need to sign the Mobile Device Check-out agreement form?
No for the 2021-22 school year any Chromebook/hotspot check-outs are covered under the policy AR 8560. The policy is referenced in the Parent/Student handbook which parents/student acknowledge and confirm was read at the time of online registration.
In July of 2021 a section was also added to ParentConnect for parents to confirm that they have read the policy as part of online registration. Any parents that already completed online registration will not need to go back to confirm the policy. Parents that go into ParentConnect to make changes or with students that are new to the district will need to confirm the policy.
